PHP-Hooks: a class implementing a WP-like hook system, ready to be used in any PHP project. Neat neat. t.co/pNF2uK5y5O via @rarst

@Otto42 I was hoping for someone saying “yeah, XXX lib, a fork off WP HTTP API” … :) Closest answer seems @rmccue’s Requests

@Rarst oh, didn’t know about PHP-Hooks! I bastardized the WP plugin API myself to import it into Zenphoto and YOURLS…

@dhstatus @dreamhost that post has no title :-Þ

@Mamaduka my opinion too, I’ll probably give this a try cc @Rarst

in reply to Mamaduka — 9:52pm May 2 2013 —

@Rarst I want something that works for everyone, regardless of if curl is avail or not (for YOURLS)

in reply to Rarst — 9:52pm May 2 2013 —

@Rarst “Guzzle’s HTTP functionality is a robust framework built on top of the PHP libcurl bindings.” says the doc…

in reply to Rarst — 9:33pm May 2 2013 —

@GoldenApples nicely done, but it’s only a curl wrapper it seems

sethrobertson.github.io/GitFix… is awesome :) Kind of a story where you are the hero, answer questions and finally get the Git answer!

@redwall_hp thanks anyway :) Seems to be the best recommendation around

in reply to redwall_hp — 8:45pm May 2 2013 —

@johnpbloch yeah, checked that one, but it’s just a wrapper for curl

in reply to johnpbloch — 8:23pm May 2 2013 —

@johnpbloch will check that, thanks

@tnorthcutt I’d rather strip stuff from WP, would be easier for me (don’t know Symf or Laravel)

in reply to tnorthcutt — 8:01pm May 2 2013 —

@joncave oh, didn’t notice that. Thanks!

in reply to joncave — 7:59pm May 2 2013 —

@markjaquith @scribu yep I know that one. It’s pretty good, but less complete than WP. Support for Http ext for instance… hmm @rmccue? :-)

in reply to markjaquith — 7:49pm May 2 2013 —

Does anyone know about a PHP HTTP client that’s as good as WP’s Wp_Http class, but not for WP?

7:41pm May 2 2013 —

@johnpbloch heh… you are such a salesman :)

in reply to johnpbloch — 7:52pm May 1 2013 —

@johnpbloch I have a license (free license for open source project I think) but never really tried it… What’s worth it you think?

in reply to johnpbloch — 7:33pm May 1 2013 —

@LewAyotte @kevinlearynet yeah, “Newspapers” and “Tradition”. I think those stuff shouldn’t exactly dictate their legacy on the intarwebs…

No One Writes Like This, Because It’s Cumbersome And Hard To Read. So Why Are Most Post Titles Formatted Like This? Makes No Sense.
