PuTTy Connection Manager: PuTTy with tabs. This is awesomely awesome. If I had to chose one feature a software was missing since mankind and software exist, I would have pointed this one. Now I can die happy :)
Notepad++, my favorite text editor, has been updated (changelog, binaries)
Text Editors for Coders : Deathmatch Review
I have been using UltraEdit as my primary text editor over the last few years. I thought it had all the features I could expect from a text editor : tabbed interface, syntax highlighting for a number of languages, code block collapsing, regular expressions for searching and replacing, opening and closing brace matching, you name it. Then, recently, I got…
Burn .ogg Files with Nero 7
It took me a few minutes of googling so I'm posting this as a reminder for myself and anyone who shall land here from a search engine : how to add .ogg support to Nero 7 and burn .ogg files straight to an audio CD. Download the Nero Ogg plugin here (free registration required) (hint) Put the decompressed .dll file…

Profiling PHP Scripts with Xdebug
I've started to play a bit with Xdebug, a PHP extension that's designed to provide profiling information for PHP scripts and script execution analysis, amongst other things. This is fun, this is interesting, and this is invaluable when you really want to optimize the last bits of a script or a function. My test install is running XAMPP on Windows,…
Station Ripper : “Ca Déchire”
This screenshot of the "About…" splash screen is here to make French readers laugh. And they surely will, as the translation is by far the ubermost badest I've ever seen in a software, to a point that makes it pathetically funny. The whole interface of Station Ripper is more or less as gawky as you would expect from the above…
Another cool thing with GreatNews I've just noticed : when you copy one of those rather gay and non-standard URLs that use the fake protocol feed:// (i.e. sites linking to feed://domain.com/feed/), GreatNews converts it into a plain standard and expected http:// link.
