My latest musical craze is a damn funny metallish band named Bloodhound Gang. Their music really fits my taste, with a lot of heavy and fat guitars, but once you pay attention to lyrics, you cannot help but smile, then laugh, then play it again :) The band really gives the impression they're doing all […][...] → Read more

It took me a few minutes of googling so I'm posting this as a reminder for myself and anyone who shall land here from a search engine : how to add .ogg support to Nero 7 and burn .ogg files straight to an audio CD. Download the Nero Ogg plugin here (free registration required) (hint) […][...] → Read more

I recently converted some unused money from my Paypal account into a cute Qtek 9100 (WIFI enabled PDA phone that has about all the features you can think of, basically), and as I am spending most of my time in bed for some rather boring surgery recovery, I have plenty of time to play with […][...] → Read more

I just found about last.fm-ripper, a Perl CPAN module that saves last.fm radio streams to individual mp3's. How cool does that sound ? The readme even says that with a proper MP3::Tag module, mp3 files are saved with correct ID3 tags, which I haven't tried yet. Usage is cake easy. Once the archive untarred, you […][...] → Read more

Last.fm's player really badly needs an extra feature : a "ban this artist" button, right next to "ban this track". Like, it makes sense I have to click every time on this button every time I hear Moby in the "Similar to Metallica" station. Moby, damnit. What the hell does it have to do with […][...] → Read more

Homagod. Simply named Guitar, this version of Pachelbel's soapy Canon is awesome. So awesome that already 2.5 millions saw it and it's been featured in the NY Times. And as usual, I'm late on this kind of stuff everybody already knows :)[...] → Read more

I've been recently rather hooked into last.fm, and, pardon the pun, it rocks. Well, except that someone had already registered the username "Ozh" and I had to twist a bit. I've always liked statistics and useless figures, so a service computing charts of most liked artists and tracks I'm listening to is fun. I even […][...] → Read more

This screenshot of the "About…" splash screen is here to make French readers laugh. And they surely will, as the translation is by far the ubermost badest I've ever seen in a software, to a point that makes it pathetically funny. The whole interface of Station Ripper is more or less as gawky as you […][...] → Read more
