Canon IP4000R under Linux

I bought myself a nice printer, Canon Pixma iP4000R, with the intention of using it under Linux as well as under Windows, even though Canon printers are far from being the best choice when it comes to Linux (to be honest, when I saw "Ethernet / Wifi connection", I went "OoOOoow" and couldn't change my mind, it had to be *this* printer :)

Deleting all mails with a simple Perl script

I have a few alternative mail accounts, mostly used when I need to register with a site I don't trust and thus when I'm expecting spam. Checking last night, I noticed that 3 accounts were filled up with a grand total of 3500 spams, so I wrote a small Perl script, using Net::POP3, to delete all mails in an account.

I've just found out that Nofrag (a French famous game reviews site with quite a community) had launched their own blog platform for their members. Apart from being an excellent idea when you want to entertain your community, the stuff is very well done too, and you can create a complete layout with a custom css. I created a place for myself over there, with a "Blue Frog" theme. Check it out… ribbit !

The Live CD List: List of Live CD Linux distributions (180 and counting !), that boot and work right from the CD player without installing anything on local drives. Excellent stuff to bring Linux everywhere with you, I’ve personnaly tried Knoppix and MandrakeMove, very impressive. (1) «
