Did you notice? I’ve just seen that Google has a new favicon. I couldn’t find any new thing across all other services, though (Gmail and stuff). Is this a first step in some bigger redesign process? No more green-blue-red-yellow logo on the search page? Share This Related posts www dot googleporn dot com (0) WTF of the Week [...] → Read more

WordPress 2.6 will implement a potentially very cool feature: Google Gears. Here is what you get to see after you click on a catchy “Speed up!” link in WordPress 2.6 … Basically, Google Gears is a browser addon that stores on your local computer some files, allowing for quicker (as in “immediate”) access. Those files are stored [...] → Read more
Hu? I didn’t know there was a Google Bookmarks service (apparently it’s been around since June 2006). It’s a bit like del.icio.us, without the social dimension, without the usable interface. Sort of sucks. Share This Related posts www dot googleporn dot com (0) Wikipedia Google Bombing (0) Trouver sa Ville dans les Google Maps (0) scuttle 0.6.0 (0) My Name is Google [...] → Read more
I just found out about Google’s Music Search (example). Don’t expect anything to find illegal MP3s (although Google can be used for this) but this is a neat tool when researching about a band: their discography, album names and release dates, reviews, even lyrics. According to Google’s hot trends for today, keyword “iPhone” is used in more than 10% of all searches. How come then that nobody has some adwords on iPhone related searches, then? I’ve seen recently a lot of plugins for WordPress aimed at taking care of the duplicate content issue in search engines. Don’t get me wrong, those plugins are doing well what they were created for : adding a meta tag in some pages so that Googlebot and its friends don’t index them. The problem is [...] → Read more
With Google’s latest toy, Code Search, you have yet another tool for your egosurf needs. How many people use your code ? Example query for “ozh”.
