For nearly 3 years now, all my online activities including this blog have been hosted at DreamHost. Nearly 3 years of overall positive experience then, otherwise I'd be obviously somewhere else :)

I've been with dreamhost for 5 months now, there has been a couple of downtimes lately but they are good at keeping customers updated and fixing the issues.
Also the user control panel is great, even allows costum php.ini.
My site uses a fair amount of traffic/bandwidth but this has not been an issue with dreamhost, where as previous hosts have shut me down. I would consider them as one of the better cheap webhosting solutions.
