I've been receiving quite funny email spam, lately : uppercase typo'd slang and l33t speak, that makes your inbox look like a flaming thread from a Counterstrike forum.

I'm actually reading these emails when they go through spam filters : I always have the feeling there has to be some hidden puns, and that it's an intended sarcastic parody a la JeffK :)

Feed Lounge goes live.

I had a few expectations about this web based feed reader. At the moment, Bloglines is unmatched, but there are still a lot of room for improvements left, on the usability and 'look and feel' areas. And, judging from features and screenshots, FeedLounge is promising.

Sounds great. But… I'm not blindly paying anything for a service that has free competitors, especially when those free competitors are quality stuff like Bloglines. There's not even a demo mode with restricted features like a maximum number of feeds, something for you to try before you buy and that could make you love it (ok there's a 3 hour demo tour, but what a silly concept really). Oh well. Good luck on the RSS market, FeedLounge.

Doh. DOH. DOH.

While working on a WordPress test install on this server, I accidentally deleted all posts and comments here. Blame the hardcoded 'wp_posts' in the script I was fiddling with. The freshest backup I had was from 3 weeks old, so obviously I've lost quite a few things in the meantime, including probably a few worthy posts about my latest plugins. Oh well. Shit happens, they say :)

Update: weee, I was able to recover bigger posts using Google's cache version of the missing pages. Ain't that cool ? :)

Update 2: … and the rest from Bloglines. Who needs backup ? :P
