GMail : Disable Chat Popups

Great. I can even invite myself to chat with me.For the first time, I find GMail quite annoying with something : those freaking Chat popups. I want to send and read mail damnit, I don't want to talk.

Did I miss something ? I cannot find any option to disable those damn popups. For the moment, the only workaround I found is this simple Greasemonkey script. Now I just have to find something for IE too.
