Awesome stuff of the week : Netvibes.

Netvibes Netvibes is one of those AJAXified customizable portals we are going to see more and more. Basically, it's a web page with dockable widgets that you can add, edit and customise. Add a post-it note, add RSS feeds from a website, your mailbox, your local stock exchange or a Google search. Make yourself at home. Then, make it your browser start page, and enjoy what they call Web 2.0 where online apps are getting more powerful than desktop programs :)

The user interface is pretty and neat, and best of all, it's fast. Importing my 96 feed OPML file was lightning fast, and reading feeds is actually faster than in any other web-based reader I've tried. Now I'm looking forward to seeing more customizable options : a custom wallpaper, a clock and a calendar to track events, something to import or create link lists from a bookmark file.

Anyway, I'm impressed. It rocks. I'm in love.

Updated: actually all these features, and more, are planned.

I'm just curious how you stumble into this kind of stuff, even though my RSS-feeds include and the like ;-)
