The registered trademark, because it is one, is WordPress. One word, capitalized W and P, no space. It should not be written WordPress, or Word Press, or Word-press, or whatever.
Correctly Spell WordPress is a simple plugin that takes care of your pages and posts by correcting all the carelessly miswritten occurences of “WordPress”, in titles, posts, pages and comments.
Download it:
- wp_ozh_spell_wordpress.php: highlighted code, copy and paste in a blank file
- wp_ozh_spell_wordpress.txt: raw code, save as .php
There is a few optional and self explanatory edition, at the beginning of the plugin. Read and edit accordingly, or just run as is with default values.
Note: this plugin is not active here on my own blog, don’t bother pointing out occurrences of “WordPress” you will find here and there. I’m not that anal :P
Other note: this plugin was a quick hack after a discussion between friends. It’s untested, it will probably break things such as path containing “wordpress”. Download it only if you want to hack and improve it :)

This plugin broke my [gallery]‘s in 2.8.1 b2. Basically, instead of getting this URL on the page:
http://ottodestruct.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2008/08/2775873304_28de83e999_o-150×150.jpg
It somehow changed it to this:
http://ottodestruct.com/blog/-content/uploads/2008/08/2775873304_28de83e999_o-150×150.jpg
No idea why. I suspect the “WP” matching is a bit too severe, but why it didn’t replace it with “WordPress”, I have no idea.
