Domains from A to B

flag.ac (Ascension Island)
Well, ins.omni.ac, every blogger is.

flag.ad (Andorra)
Tech blog at mou.sep.ad, or travel log at len.ingr.ad ?

flag.ae (United Arab Emirates)
orc.hid.ae will be the next Binary Bonsai.

flag.af (Afghanistan)
I had difficulties on this one, but I think ove.rle.af makes a really nice name for a website

flag.ag (Antigua and Barbuda)
Does “plas.ticb.ag is a weblog” sound familiar ?

flag.ai (Anguilla)
Any sa.mur.ai willing to register binar.ybons.ai ? ba.nz.ai !

flag.al (Albania)
What about con.trov.ersi.al as a blog for you daily rants ?

flag.am (Armenia)
“Be glow” ! That’s the an.agr.am of weblog :)

flag.an (Netherlands Antilles)
Design blog ? esth.etici.an !

flag.ao (Angola)
Not an easy one. Short cac.ao or longer zen.andt.ao are the only ways to escape an easy ro.flm.ao :)

flag.aq (Antarctica)
You could go.to.ir.aq but unfortunately no one cannot register .aq domains yet. Not even comp.aq !

flag.ar (Argentina)
brick.and.mort.ar is your next offline startup

flag.as (American Samoa)
Could you live without foi.egr.as ? Even at chri.stm.as ?

flag.at (Austria)
im.toof.at would be an incentive domain to go on a diet, otherwise co.pyc.at would make a nice linkblog

flag.au (Australia)
esq.uim.au or lots of French words such as ch.ate.au, but that’s a really hard one.

flag.aw (Aruba)
Design blog ? Working on a Mac ? qu.ickdr.aw !

flag.az (Azerbaijan)
When weblogging gets so addictive it becomes your al.catr.az

flag.ax (Aland Islands)
mast.erof.aj.ax, baby. Anything “aj.ax” based will make it considering how Ajax is trendy these days. Plus, it’s much more friendly than pneum.othor.ax :)

flag.ba (Bosnia and Herzegovina)
dance.rhum.ba and there is not much choice with this TLD

flag.bb (Barbados)
Tough one. My take will be rr.ever.bb which could be good for an opinion blog where you’d echo thoughts. A logotype would be easy to create with it, too.

flag.bd (Bangladesh)
Something like hol.lyw.ood.bd maybe … Sucky one.

flag.be (Belgium)
Since to.be.or.not.to.be must be already taken, blog rants and raves at di.atri.be. I also like an.aero.be a lot.

flag.bf (Burkina Faso)
No idea.

flag.bg (Bulgaria)
No idea. Could be used with ‘bg’ as a abbreviation of ‘background’, but that’s weak.

flag.bh (Bahrain)
Doh. Thank you Wikipedia for letting me find ba.dh.bh (definition of Badhbh) but that’s my only (poor) try with this domain.

flag.bi (Burundi)
If you really need an alibi to blog, get blo.gali.bi

flag.bj (Benin)
Why do they make so ’sexy’ TLD’s … onl.ine.bj for a porn site, of course.

flag.bm (Bermuda)
You could make light.bm sound like “light beam” … Hard one.

flag.bn (Brunei Darussalam)
Get fa.bn if your French first name is Fabienne. Or big.bn for “Big Ben” ? Hard one as well.

flag.bo (Bolivia)
I think blog.tur.bo would be a fun name for a fast blogging service :)

flag.br (Brazil)
Blogging so you don’t forget what’s your life is made of ? dis.remem.br !

flag.bs (Bahamas)
Blogging daily quotes ? pro.ver.bs !

flag.bt (Bhutan)
Avoid anything with “debt” in it or get bad karma in spam filters. But be sure to have no.dou.bt instead.

flag.bv (Bouvet Island)
No idea.

flag.bw (Botswana)
No cool idea. You could of course make it mean “Black and White”, like in pictu.resin.bw

flag.by (Belarus)
be.my.ba.by ! And I’ll whisper a lul.lab.by for you.

flag.bz (Belize)
I would register something like biz.buzz.bz for a corporate gossip website, but cal.vin.andhob.bz makes a nice tribute :)

Looks like mmor.pg is a no-go, as according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.pg these require local presence for Papua New Guinea and registrations are third-level beneath .com.pg, .net.pg, .ac.pg, .gov.pg, .mil.pg, and .org.pg.

Maybe you should tack an -s onto the end of that, which would land you in some completely different country. :)

I’m right there with you buddy!

I love playing with words and have also come up with some really cool domain names. Some have the coveted dotcom extension, others use various other extensions that make the result into a real word, like

    computerpho.be
    jetl.ag
    dropf.at

I’ve heard this called hacking, but don’t really understand what the problem is. All the above site have some pretty good traffic stats.

Thought of this back in mid-nineties when I was registering my first domain. Ones I thought of then were:

    fish.net
    torn-fish.net
    butterfly.net
    full-butterfly.net
    hair.net
    gar.net <- semi-precious stone

You forgot the Cook Islands: .co.ck

    E.g. monster.co.ck, a recruitment company :-)
