Something I can’t get off these days is the awesome Google Maps service. A year ago I went for a really nice trip through south-west National Parks in the US, and I think I’ve done all the trip once more with Google :)
Here are some interesting links, gathering the most noteworthy places to see in North America. Can’t wait for such a service, on a global scale (yes, tried Keyhole, but I’m far from being as impressed as I am with Google maps)
- Google Sightseeing: Why bother seeing the world for real ?
- Interesting Google Satellite maps: armchair sightseeing!
- Google GlobeTrotting: explore everything that can be seen from space !
- del.icio.us links & Flickr photos (unsorted links, quality may vary)
There are also a few presumably interesting links I’ll note here for my own future reference if I ever happen to understand anything related to xmlffsxslt
- Google Maps Standalone: Google maps… in your site (unofficial, unauthorized etc…)
- Google Map Hacking Wiki
