Domains from C to F
.ca (Canada)
I’ll avoid a too easy er.oti.ca and chose re.pli.ca for a webspace where you sort of duplicate yourself :)
.cc (Cocos (Keeling) Islands)
Not an obvious one. I chose itt.alli.cc which could make a name for a design blog, typography oriented
.cd (Congo, The Democratic Republic of the)
Easy names like pho.to.cd, or too complicated stuff like pr.obo.cd (“Proboscidea : order of animals including elephants and mammoths”)
.cf (Central African Republic)
No idea.
.cg (Congo, Republic of)
No idea.
.ch (Switzerland)
I like mis.mat.ch as a weblog name.
.ci (Cote d’Ivoire)
Get fib.onac.ci for a science blog !
.ck (Cook Islands)
Really cool one. Raw opinions elec.trosho.ck, or han.dpi.ck for a ‘best of’ blog. Too bad that “The Domain Name Registration maintenance fee for organisations or individuals who do not reside in the Cook Islands is US$150.00 for 2 years registration” :)
.cl (Chile)
A few crappy ideas ending with “excel” or “cancel”, nothing noteworhty.
.cm (Cameroon)
No idea.
.cn (China)
No idea.
.co (Colombia)
What a fan.tasti.co domain. Not much here.
.cr (Costa Rica)
Try things at expe.rien.cr
.cs (Serbia and Montenegro)
I guess the only reason i.play.cs is not taken yet is that there is no registrar for this domain :) Too bad, really easy TLD to play with. Wouldn’t be pol.iti.cs be juicy ?
.cu (Cuba)
What, no webcam software on seeme.cu ?
.cv (Cape Verde)
Easy names referring to “curriculum vitae”, but nothing cool.
.cx (Christmas Island)
Easily suffixing anything that ends with ’se’. Did you register ora.lse.cx recently ?
.cy (Cyprus)
Easy one with plenty of choice. Marketing stuff on weba.gen.cy or useless thoughts on irre.levan.cy. I like syc.ophan.cy too.
.cz (Czech Republic)
Easy to use, and used actually. Did you check oralse.cz recently ? (safe at work, give it a click :)
.de (Germany)
Everyday blogging will avoid des.uetu.de and make your traffic ex.plo.de
.dj (Djibouti)
Besides onl.ine.dj for a web radio, no idea.
.dk (Denmark)
I really like this domain but couldn’t find anything. The only usable trick I thought of was to make it sound like ‘decay’ and go with something like radio.active.dk
.dm (Dominica)
Epicurist will car.pe.dm ! Ho I like this one :)
.do (Dominican Republic)
mu.cha.do (about nothing), or eld.ora.do will be my choices.
.dz (Algeria)
A l33t war.lor.dz sounds like a must have for l33t hackers. I mean hackerz. Ok d00.dz ?
.ec (Ecuador)
Does mega.pars.ec sound a bit pretentious ?
.ee (Estonia)
The only problem I see with weee.eeeee.ee is remembering the exact number of ‘e’. Other than that, I like kil.lerb.ee
.eg (Egypt)
tu.ar.eg would be a nice travel blog name, and bli.tzkri.eg sounds quite unusual.
.eh (Western Sahara)
Ho boy, eh.eh.eh.eh is so funny.
.er (Eritrea)
Yet an.oth.er easy to use top level domain. Get blo.gg.er while if you can !
.es (Spain)
Ola cu.ti.es ! What’s up ? One of the easiest TLD.
.et (Ethiopia)
Got a star blog ? Get web.com.et ! Got an unknown blog ? Get dis.cre.et !
.eu (European Union)
Food and recipes at cord.onbl.eu
.fi (Finland)
sci.fi high.fi hi.fi wi.fi are all taken already … Maybe kha.da.fi is still free ?
.fj (Fiji)
No idea.
.fk (Falkland Islands (Malvinas))
No idea.
.fm (Micronesia, Federal State of)
I think the only cool thing to do with this one is mixing it up with a radio name.
.fo (Faroe Islands)
Does yoo.mo.fo sound like a cool name to you ? No ? I thought so.
.fr (France)
I dig lu.ci.fr but unfortunately you cannot register 2 letter domains :/

You forgot the Cook Islands: .co.ck
E.g. monster.co.ck, a recruitment company :-)

Thought of this back in mid-nineties when I was registering my first domain. Ones I thought of then were:
fish.net
torn-fish.net
butterfly.net
full-butterfly.net
hair.net
gar.net <- semi-precious stone

I’m right there with you buddy!
I love playing with words and have also come up with some really cool domain names. Some have the coveted dotcom extension, others use various other extensions that make the result into a real word, like
computerpho.be
jetl.ag
dropf.at
I’ve heard this called hacking, but don’t really understand what the problem is. All the above site have some pretty good traffic stats.

Looks like mmor.pg is a no-go, as according to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.pg these require local presence for Papua New Guinea and registrations are third-level beneath .com.pg, .net.pg, .ac.pg, .gov.pg, .mil.pg, and .org.pg.
Maybe you should tack an -s onto the end of that, which would land you in some completely different country. :)
