{"id":452,"date":"2006-01-06T11:36:54","date_gmt":"2006-01-06T09:36:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/frenchfragfactory.net\/ozh\/archives\/2006\/01\/06\/get-linked-and-noticed-lego-vs-horse-sex\/"},"modified":"2008-04-25T10:34:09","modified_gmt":"2008-04-25T08:34:09","slug":"get-linked-and-noticed-lego-vs-horse-sex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/planetozh.com\/blog\/2006\/01\/get-linked-and-noticed-lego-vs-horse-sex\/","title":{"rendered":"Get Linked and Noticed : Lego vs Horse Sex"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Ah, I bet I have your attention with such a title now :) This post will have to be filed in &quot;People are so strange sometimes&quot; category.<\/p>\n<p>Two of my favorite SEO blogs are, funnily enough, posting two stories on the same topic : what kind of story is the most likely to be noticed, clicked through or linked to.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/seoblackhat.com\/2006\/01\/05\/horse-sex-stories-were-clicked-most\/\">SEO Black Hat<\/a> reports that the most read article on an online newspaper (Seattle Times) was about some smart dude getting lethally injured while having sex with a horse, and that whenever they are publishing stories about horse sex, they become popular hits (<a href=\"http:\/\/seattletimes.nwsource.com\/html\/localnews\/2002711400_danny30.html\">link<\/a>) (by the way, I&#39;m just thinking, I&#39;d start to feel quite weird and suspicious about my neighbours if I lived in an area where newspaper would report horse sex stories several times a year)<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wolf-howl.com\/?p=129\">Graywolf<\/a> illustrates the link popularity topic with a Lego Church page that has been heavily dugg (i.e. bookmarked on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.digg.com\/\">Digg<\/a>). Indeed, fun stuff built with Legos seem to attract geeks and such stories are often mentionned on Slashdot&#39;s front page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I guess that something like having sex with a large scale lego horse would make the most popular story ever, then.
